Living With Fire in Woodside Ranch
Presented by Jodie Schiffman, Co-Coordinator, Oregon Living With Fire

Woodside Ranch has had some close calls over the years when it comes to wildfires. Come learn practical tips for what to do before, during, and after when fire threatens the neighborhood. Whether you live here year-round, part-time, or keep tabs from afar, we’ll talk about what you can do to ensure your property and possessions are better protected from fire. We’ll also touch on smoke impacts. Let’s get specific! We’ll go beyond home hardening and defensible space to get at the heart of what it means to be a truly Fire Adapted Community.

Jodie Schiffman is a Co-Coordinator with Oregon Living With Fire, serving Crook, Deschutes, Jefferson, and Klamath Counties. She has extensive experience working with federal, state, and local agencies as well as private landowners on wildfire preparedness. Jodie is also a Public Information Officer with a Northwest Incident Management Team, and gets deployed to assist with large wildfires.

Following the presentation the business portion of the meeting,

• Board Elections – Three board seats are up for election during the meeting. We will also review and vote on the 2026 budget. If you are interested in volunteering to help the community or joining the board, please email us at board@woodsideranch.net.

• The Future of Woodside Ranch – we will hold an open discussion on the future of WRHA and what makes Woodside Ranch special. We are seeking your input on how the association can change to better serve our community. Whether it is improving our digital communication, sharing high-desert gardening tips, or coordinating fire-wise efforts, we want to hear your ideas on how we can pull together.

If you won’t be able to attend and have a suggestion or comments, please email board@woodsideranch.net before the meeting, so that your ideas can be included in the discussion.
